RECRUITMENT OF “GRADUATE ENGINEERS TO THE POST OF JTO(T) [JUNIOR TELECOM OFFICER (TELECOM)]” IN BSNL FROM OPEN MARKET THROUGH VALID GATE SCORE-2017.

Registration process for the candidature of Direct JTO(T) (Junior Telecom Officer, Telecom) in BSNL will start with effect from 6th March 2017 to 6th April 2017 through online BSNL portal i.e. www.externalexam.bsnl.co.in.


Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) will recruit about 2510 posts of Graduate Engineers to the Post of JTO(T) (Junior Telecom Officer Telecom) from open market/external candidates through valid GATE SCORE-2017. Wide publicity in this regard was given through the indicative advertisement by all the Telecom Circles on 09-09-2016. As such interested candidates shall have to appear in GATE-2017 and also need to get their candidature registered in BSNL for the post of JTO(T) (Junior Telecom Officer Telecom). BSNL shall not conduct any further examination or interview in this regard. The detailed number of vacancies in the cadre of Graduate Engineers to the Post of JTO(T) (Junior Telecom Officer), are detailed in Annexure-A.

Pay Band:
 pay scale Executive [E-1] of `16,400 – `40,500/- with annual increment @ 3% of basic pay plus IDA, HRA, Perks, Medical Benefits.

Qualification:
Applicant must possess the educational qualifications: BE/BTech. or equivalent in Telecom/Electronics/Radio/Computer/Electrical/InformationTechnology/Instrumentation Engineering or M.Sc. (Electronics)/M.Sc.(Computer Science) AND are required to appear GATE exam 2017, opting one paper from selected four disciplines of GATE paper codes i.e. CS / EC / EE / IN (details are available at www.gate.iitr.ernet.in).

Age:
Candidate shall not be below 18 years and not exceed 30 years as on the last date of receipt of Online applications from the candidates (i.e.as on 31st January, 2017)

Age Relaxation:
i    Upto five (5) years for SC/ST candidates
ii.  Upto three (3) years for OBC candidates
iii. Upto fifteen (15) years for SC/ST-PWD candidates
iv.  Upto thirteen(13) years for OBC-PWD candidates
v.   Upto ten (10) years for OC-PWD candidates
vi.  Upto five (5) years for BSNL employees.

Fees:
The online registration shall commence from 06-03-2017 and shall close on 06-04-2017. The prescribed examination fee of `500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) for OC/OBC candidates and of `300/- (Rupees three Hundred only) for SC/ST candidates shall be paid through online mode i.e. Internet Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card only.

JTO Telecom SECTION – II (Total = 50 Question )

1. Analog Electronic Circuits.
 Transistor biasing and stabilization, Small Signal analysis. Power amplifiers. Frequency response, Wide band techniques, Feedback amplifiers. Tuned amplifiers. Oscillators. Rectifiers and power supplies. Operational Amplifier, other linear integrated circuits and applications. Pulse shaping circuits and waveform generators.\

2. Digital Electronic Circuits
Transistor as a switching element; Boolean algebra, simplification of Boolean functions, Karnaugh Map and applications; IC Logic gates and their characteristics; IC logic families: DTL, TTL, ECL, NMOS, PMOS and CMOS gates and their comparison; Combinational logic circuits; Half adder, full adder; Digital Compartor; Multiplexer Demultiplexer; ROM and their applications. Concepts of gain and phase margins; Constant-M and Constant-N Nichol's Chart; Approximation of transient response from Constant-N Nichol's Chart; Approximation of transient response from closed loop frequency response; Design of Control Systems, Compensators; Industrial controllers.

Basic information theory: Modulation and detection in analogue and digital systems; Sampling and data reconstruction. Quantization & Coding; Time division and frequency division multiplexing; Equalization; Optical Communication: in free space & fibre optic; Propagation of signals at HF, VHF, UHF and microwave frequency; Satellite communication.\

5. Microwave Engineering
Microwave Tubes and solid state devices, Microwave generation and amplifiers, Waveguides and other Microwave Components and Circuits, Microstrip circuits, Microwave antennas, Microwave
